Qualcomm Technologies Joins MassRobotics Sponsor Network, Launches Dragonwing™ Robotics Developer Hub
Published: April 03, 2026 16:44
On March 31, 2026, MassRobotics, a Boston-based independent robotics innovation hub, announced that Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has officially joined the organization as its newest sponsor, expanding its sponsor network. Alongside this partnership, Qualcomm launched the Dragonwing™ Robotics Hub — a developer platform designed to provide tools and community support for robotics projects at every stage, from prototype validation through to production deployment.
Qualcomm Enters the Ecosystem, Channeling Resources to Robotics Startups
MassRobotics is a Boston-based independent robotics innovation hub focused on accelerating the development and commercialization of robotics technologies, bringing together startups, global technology leaders, research institutions, and investors. With Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. now part of its sponsor network, the company will directly provide technical resources and support to MassRobotics' resident startups.
Tom Ryden, Executive Director of MassRobotics, stated that Qualcomm's expertise in advanced compute, AI, and connectivity technologies — combined with initiatives such as the Dragonwing Robotics Hub — will provide resident startups with valuable tools and resources as they develop and scale next-generation robotics solutions.
Ahmed Sadek, VP of Engineering at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., noted that MassRobotics plays a critical role in supporting startups and advancing robotics innovation, and that Qualcomm looks forward to working with the community to help accelerate the development of next-generation robotics solutions.
Dragonwing™ Robotics Hub: A Collaborative Platform for Developers
As the technical foundation of this partnership, Qualcomm had previously announced the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Robotics Hub — a collaborative developer hub built within the Arduino® Project Hub, open to developers and startups across the robotics industry.
The platform provides sample robotics applications alongside a shared space where developers can contribute code, build projects, and advance from early-stage prototypes to production-ready systems on Dragonwing platforms. Targeted application areas include autonomous systems, AI-driven motion control, and other advanced robotics domains.
The platform is positioned to make robotics innovation a collaborative endeavor — through shared tools, open-source case examples, and community collaboration mechanisms — with the aim of lowering the barrier to entry in robotics development and shortening the path from concept to real-world deployment.
