At the Shanghai Auto Show, Intel signed a memorandum of cooperation with Black Sesame Intelligence, a leading provider of automotive-grade intelligent computing chips and chip-based solutions.
The two companies announced they will establish a partnership leveraging their respective innovations in cockpit chips and advanced driver-assistance chips to jointly create an integrated cockpit-driving fusion platform that combines safe driver assistance with immersive cockpit experiences. By integrating both parties' core technological advantages in smart cockpits and driver assistance, they aim to provide global automakers with higher-performance, more cost-effective, and safer cross-domain fusion solutions.

The cockpit-driving fusion platform deeply integrates Intel's leading capabilities in intelligent cockpit chips and high-performance independent automotive GPUs with Black Sesame Intelligence's core technological strengths in their Huashan A2000 family of universal driver assistance chips and Wudang C1200 family of cross-domain computing chips. Complemented by jointly developed software baselines, the platform achieves "dual breakthroughs in cockpit experience and driver assistance performance." This platform provides automakers with an open, flexible, and highly scalable platform design that can be adapted to different vehicle models with a single design, thereby simplifying the development process and delivering more diverse intelligent experiences to users.
Black Sesame Intelligence and Intel plan to release the cockpit-driving fusion platform reference design in the second quarter of 2025 and prepare it for mass production.
