About the Tesla Megapack Power Bank

The Tesla Megapack power bank is a 1:40 scale replica of Tesla's Megapack energy storage system. It features a flame-retardant PC material shell with operable maintenance doors, TESLA brand light signs, and simulated cooling grilles, faithfully reproducing the industrial aesthetic design of the original. The power bank's base includes anti-slip pads, circular ambient light rings, and structures mimicking the Megapack's support system, enhancing its collectible value and distinctive appearance.

The Tesla Megapack power bank retails for $120 (approximately 870 yuan).

The use of EVE Energy cells in Tesla's Megapack power bank marks the entry of another Chinese lithium battery manufacturer into Tesla's top-tier supply chain ecosystem.

EVE Energy's "Solemn Statement"

Weike's lithium battery division noted that in December last year, media reports suggested EVE Energy had reached an energy storage battery supply agreement with Tesla, with EVE Energy's Malaysian factory planning to supply energy storage batteries to Tesla USA beginning in 2026. This development would make EVE Energy Tesla's sixth battery supplier.

Previously, Tesla had established supply agreements with Panasonic, LG Energy Solution, CATL, BYD, and Sunwoda. EVE Energy would become the third company to supply energy storage batteries to Tesla's U.S. operations, joining CATL and BYD.

When approached about these reports, EVE Energy responded: "The company's business is subject to company announcements."

The speculation originated from EVE Energy's announcement on the evening of December 25, 2024, stating that the company and its subsidiary EVE Malaysia had signed a cooperation agreement with "a certain group customer in the Americas" to provide battery cells.

Through this agreement, EVE Energy and EVE Malaysia established a long-term supply relationship for battery cells with this customer. The successful implementation of this agreement would help continuously strengthen and enhance the company's influence, comprehensive competitiveness, and international presence in the energy storage market, representing an important step in perfecting its global industrial layout.

In response to widespread speculation that this agreement was with Tesla for energy storage batteries, EVE Energy issued a "solemn statement" late on December 26, 2024: "On December 25, our company released an announcement about signing a cooperation agreement with a certain group customer in the Americas. Regarding this announcement, some media outlets have made their own speculations and interpretations."

"Hereby, our company solemnly declares: 1. EVE Energy strictly adheres to exchange rules for information disclosure; 2. EVE Energy strictly abides by the commercial confidentiality agreements reached with customers and, while complying with information disclosure regulations, strictly protects customer confidentiality. Please refer to our company's announcements for accurate information."

Through EVE Energy's "solemn statement," it can be seen that while EVE Energy provided an explanation at the time, they neither confirmed nor denied that "a certain group customer in the Americas" was Tesla.
