Haihuan Technology Secures Series A Funding to Advance AI-Powered Rust Removal Robots
Published: March 05, 2025 18:11
Recently, Haihuan Technology, a service provider specializing in intelligent manufacturing equipment and comprehensive solutions for industrial anti-corrosion, has successfully completed an A-round financing of tens of millions of RMB. This financing was led by a port group, with existing shareholder Yunshi Capital continuing to invest.
Public information reveals that the lead investor, the port group, is Shandong Port. Their collaboration is expected to generate significant synergies in related industrial sectors.
The raised funds will be primarily allocated to product Research and Development(R&D), market expansion, and team development, which are key areas for the company's growth.
Haihuan Technology holds a unique and significant position in the industry. It is the only company in China dedicated to the independent R&D and production of ultra-high-pressure water jet vehicle-mounted rust removal robots. The company is committed to providing comprehensive, intelligent, and environmentally friendly solutions for cleaning, hydro-jetting, and coating applications.
Leveraging extensive expertise and rich application experience in shipbuilding, chemical, and construction industries, Haihuan Technology has developed the Treatment Carrier D & Treatment Carrier X (TCD & TCX) vehicle-mounted hull cleaning robot series. This series is specifically designed for cleaning and rust removal of ship exteriors, bottoms, and cargo holds.
The TCD & TCX series integrates Haihuan Technology’s proprietary AI algorithms with ultra-high-pressure component technology, offering numerous remarkable advantages:
1、High return, low risk in economic benefits and risk control
2、High efficiency, 0 pollution in operational performance and environmental impact
These robots cover over 95% of ship hull areas for cleaning and rust removal. Operators do not need to be in direct contact with hazardous substances like paint residues and rust, nor do they need to engage in high-altitude, high-risk tasks—the rust removal process can be completed remotely via robotic control.
Additionally, the robots come with an advanced built-in vacuum integration system, which instantly collects solid particles, paint residues, rust, and wastewater generated during operation, reinforcing the green and eco-friendly concept. At the rear of the robot, a corrosion-resistant solid-liquid separation box is installed. The separated waste and wastewater can either be safely discharged in a controlled manner or treated immediately via a vehicle-mounted water purification system for recycling, maximizing resource utilization.
Notably, Haihuan Technology boasts a robust supply chain response capability, thanks to its assembly production line. Spare parts can be shipped the same day, and products can be delivered in as fast as 45 days. According to the official website, in 2023, Haihuan Technology successfully delivered over 10 units, ensuring strong support for customer demand.
At present, Haihuan Technology has partnered with dozens of leading shipping companies, providing them with professional solutions. Reports indicate that in 2023, Haihuan Technology held a 45% market share in China's ship rust removal robot sector, ranking first in the country, demonstrating its industry-leading position and strong competitiveness.
The ship repair industry, traditionally characterized by dirty, heavy, and hazardous working conditions, has long been considered a challenging and high-risk field. In traditional ship repair operations, workers often have to work in cramped, damp, and pollution-filled environments, facing constant risks of falls from heights and exposure to harmful substances such as chemical agents and rust dust.
The emergence of Haihuan Technology’s vehicle-mounted hull cleaning robots is bringing transformative change to the industry. By integrating intelligent equipment, companies can significantly enhance operational efficiency, reduce workers’ labor intensity, and minimize exposure to hazardous environments. This marks a crucial step toward a safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly future for the ship repair industry.
