Exotec Opens Integrated Global Headquarters to Scale Warehouse Robotics Operations

French warehouse robotics company Exotec has officially opened its new global headquarters, named Imaginarium, in Northern France, marking a significant milestone in the company’s industrial development and global expansion strategy.

Located in the Hauts-de-France region, the Imaginarium facility covers approximately 25,000 square metres and brings together more than 700 employees across the company’s core functions. By concentrating engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams in a single location, Exotec aims to strengthen coordination across departments and improve efficiency throughout its product development and industrialisation processes. A key component of the site is its dedicated production and testing area, which spans around 8,560 square metres. This area houses operational robotic systems used for manufacturing, system validation, and continuous improvement activities. According to the company, integrating production capabilities alongside research and engineering teams enables faster feedback cycles and closer alignment between technological development and real-world deployment requirements. The Imaginarium headquarters was developed under a long-term forward-funded lease agreement signed in 2022 and is situated on a redeveloped site along the Roubaix Canal. The project repurposes a former office complex into an industrial and technological facility, aligning with regional efforts to revitalise industrial areas through advanced manufacturing and technology-driven activities. The building’s layout is organised around a central collaborative space, intended to encourage interaction between teams and support cross-functional workflows.

The opening of the new headquarters coincided with the launch of Exosummit, an ecosystem-focused event that brought together customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. The event provided a platform for discussions on warehouse automation, robotics innovation, and evolving supply chain requirements.
